As the chief executive officer of Mitsui Fudosan America (MFA) in New York City, John Westerfield oversees business operations throughout North America for Mitsui Fudosan, the largest real estate investment/development corporation in Japan. Before assuming this position in 2015, he spent 4 years as senior advisor to the MFA board of directors. John Westerfield has also directed private securities/real estate investments as a managing director with Braddock Capital Management and advised commercial property owners on financing issues as a managing director with Morgan Stanley.
Outside of the professional environment, John Westerfield supports educational and youth initiatives to benefit children in New York City and Yonkers. He contributes to Dartmouth College, Roosevelt High School, the Community Fund of Bronxville, and EdChoice. He is also a benefactor of the New York City’s Babies & Children’s Hospital. In his free time, Mr. Westerfield is an active sportsman whose favorite activities range from golfing and skiing to fishing and clay skeet shooting.
